Maximum Overbid of the Week: Lake District Unit Sold for $1,855,000 Over Asking

An 84.5% overbid on a condo? Well, the Lake District is getting interesting.

At 146 7th Avenue, the asking price was $2,195,000. The sale price? $4,050,000. That’s $1,855,000 over asking after just nine days on the market.

We’re talking about a three-bedroom, 1,925-square-foot condominium occupying the upper two floors of a 1910 Craftsman. Original details, a remodeled kitchen, and two private decks make for an appealing mix.

And here’s the kicker: it’s the same Lake District neighborhood as last week’s Maximum Overbid at 2 6th Avenue, which sold for a whopping $7,001,000 over asking. Two weeks, two remarkable sale prices, practically neighbors.

At this point, maybe we should just keep an eye on the avenues near Lake Street. The asking price certainly isn’t telling the whole story.
