Maximum Overbid of the Week | Reimagined Mid Century Home Sells $630,000 Over Asking

This week has been a doozy. It’s really hard to figure out what’s going on. So many homes are literally flying off the shelf, while others sit. Multi-units are barely moving, and condos appeared to have been heating up, now they’re slowing down. So WTH!?

Our market is really annoying at the moment. That I can tell you.

But hey, that’s how it’s been for 20+ years doing this, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. There’s a certain thrill in the chase, helping my clients find their dream homes amidst the competition, trying to get multiple offers for my sellers, but sometimes it just feels like I gotta step aside and let things do what they’re going to do.

Anyhow..this week’s winner for Maximum Overbid of the Week goes to… 290 Maywood Drive.

This stunning 3-bedroom view home was originally listed for a cool $2,295,000, and sold for a whopping $2,925,000. That’s a mind-blowing $630,000 over asking price, or 21.54%.

Just goes to show the fierce desire to own a piece of San Francisco magic in some places, for the right property.

Stay tuned next week for another update on the wild market of San Francisco real estate, follow us on the socials @theFrontSteps, and enjoy your weekend. Stop by our open house at 1628 Page (we just dropped the price to $1,495,000 – part of that weird condo market I mentioned above), and take note it’s Bay to Breakers this weekend.

As always, if you’re thinking of buying or selling, let’s chat. I’d be thrilled to help you navigate this crazy market.
