Sunset House Gets Over $1500 per Square Foot

Ridiculously low pricing aside, this week’s Maximum Overbid goes to 1938 35th Ave, a Sunset District home listed for $895,000 and sold for $1,238,000. Forget about the overbid, because that’s not an indication of anything in this situation except low asking price, but have a look at the sales price per square foot – $1547.

I love the Sunset and Richmond districts as much or more than anyone (I live here), but that is kinda crazy, and awesome for sellers all at the same time. For buyers, not so rad. According to MLS, that is the second highest price per square foot sale in the Sunset / Parkside since August when this Great Highway beach front pad sold for almost $1900 / square foot. It’s a crazy market we have here, that’s for sure.
