Massive Underbid of the Week: A $300K Price Drop at 181 Fremont

We spend a lot of time talking about high overbids, so it’s always interesting when a significant property sells for the opposite.

A unit at 181 Fremont Street (Residence 66A) just closed escrow for $6,000,000. The asking price for this one was $6,300,000.

That’s a $300,000 discount for the buyer. For a property like this, that’s an amazing deal.

We’re talking about a 2-bedroom, 3-bath home with 2,404 square feet, sitting way up on the 66th floor. It has sweeping North and East views, letting you see the Golden Gate Bridge, the Bay Bridge, and Alcatraz. This building is also the one with the direct sky bridge into Salesforce Park, not to mention all the building services like a concierge, residents’ club, and gym.

The property was on the market for 228 days, which just shows that a patient buyer can still find a serious value out there. What a pickup.
