Welcome to our new site!

Welcome to the new look of theFrontSteps. Although I was hoping to change the site up completely, I learned a lot from my attempt on .ORG to steer me into keeping things very much the same, but changing servers to allow more flexibility on future features, posts, and anything else.

The first thing I have to say is a HUGE shout out and thank you to Reggie Nicolay at My Tech Opinion. Without his help, it’d be another couple weeks before we were able to go “live”. Do me a favor and click through to his site and check out all that they do.

A major change you’ll notice…advertisements. Click some ads and help me put shoes on my kids’ feet, and food on the table…can’t say that. (After all I am a Realtor and if you haven’t noticed the market is in the toilet, so they’re telling me, but I still haven’t seen it.)

The site is still technically under construction and there are a lot of little things that still need to be done. So don’t be surprised if you run into a bug from time to time, and please don’t hesitate to let me know ([email protected]).

That’s it. I hope you like it. I hope you come back. And I hope you tell all of your friends and family. Now if you’ll excuse me, after all of this, I need a cocktail!

  1. Looks good! Your categories which are under Dig Deeper are all out of order

[Editor’s Note: Thanks, and well aware of that.]

  2. “Click some ads and help me put shoes on my kids’ feet, and food on the table.”

You shouldn’t be saying things like that. You’re violating the terms of use for the Google ads you have on your site:

“In order to ensure a good experience for users and advertisers, publishers may not request that users click the ads on their sites….”

[Editor’s note: Oh, damn! I take that back. And will not say it again. I must have missed that line when I read it.]

  3. Eddy – it’s still Kovalian – 90% of the blogs are crap – i’d imagine 98% of real estate blogs are crap. Call me a purist – i like the old version — different people within the industry collaborating and offering something different. That said – I have first hand knowledge of how much time it takes to operate a site and I’m giving Alex a hard time – he can’t work pro bono – but I’m allowed to say BOOOOO on the ad’s — it just feels socketdouchey

  4. The mere fact that you created a term based off of that name is sickening. The ads aren’t a bad thing. Now I can put Home SF up right above it all. It’s gonna cost you though.

  5. AHHH – I’m giving ya a hard time! It is a word and a disgusting word at that – would you like the definition:

Kovalian – To promote one’s self non stop in an effort to profit off a narrow minded negative frame of thought.
