Alex Clark did a fantastic job guiding us through our first home buy in San Francisco. It’s a tricky market, and there’s a lot to learn when you’re buying a home that’s 112 years old. He listened carefully to our interests, and guided us to intriguing properties, often with early looks. When we found the place we wanted, he mobilized all of his resources, staff and connections to make it happen.
We went from an open house on Tuesday to being in contract by Saturday. Which makes it sound simpler than it actually was, as he had to hold our hands as we worked through the Disclosure on deferred building maintenance, hook us up with his preferred lender when our mortgage broker was unresponsive (and we had a pre-approval letter within 14 hours), help us craft a winning bid and push it through with the seller in a crowded field of interested buyers.
When undisclosed maintenance issues turned up, he was able to claw back monies to deal with it. At every stage Alex was genial, insightful and resourceful, while simultaneously being a fierce advocate for us.
I would enthusiastically recommend Alex to anybody looking for a home in San Francisco. He has tremendous experience and history in this market. Alex is both incredibly professional and very easy going.
Anybody would be lucky to have him as their real estate agent. –David & Jacqueline S.
