Pocket Listing. Not On MLS. Buyer In Need. No Problem. PocketListings.net Launches Nationwide!

Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

Although you might think theFrontSteps has been completely sleeping these past months, you probably forgot we’ve been busy building a place for real estate agents to post the thousands and thousands of pocket listings they have throughout the year. Not only can they post pocket listings available to be sold, but post they have buyers who are looking for something they just can’t seem to find on MLS. There is no limit on how many times you can post, it’s completely FREE to join, and any type of property is fair game (Commercial, Residential, Land, Houseboat, etc.). It’s kind of like Craigslist meets Google meets eHarmony for off market real estate, and we’re not just for San Francisco. Today, we go nationwide!

Yup, we’re live (in beta) and we want you, and you, and you to check it out, use it, and tell 100 of your bestest of best Friends.

Non agents (i.e. Public) are welcome too! Just contact your agent if you see something you like.

Here’s the best thing…we’ve quietly been live and testing the site for a couple of weeks, and trying to keep it relatively under wraps, but already have agents who have joined us from Santa Rosa, San Francisco, San Diego, Burlingame, Belmont, Pacific Palisades, and Palo Alto, CA to name a few. Still other agents in Scottsdale, AZ, Miami Beach, FL, Bend, Oregon, and the number of agents joining are growing at a very surprising rate.

We’ve had great feedback from our initial users, four agents who’ve already contacted each other about potential matches, and we think we’re ready for all of you. So go check out and use PocketListings.net.

Here are some direct links to some noteworthy pocket listings already posted:
-Click here to see the very first pocket listing ever posted on our site (A $2.4M home in Scottsdale, AZ).
-Click here to see the most expensive pocket listing posted so far (A $5.5M home in Palo Alto, CA).
-Click here to see the most unexpected post so far (A $60,000 parking space in San Francisco, CA).

PocketListings.net is absolutely ROCKING and we haven’t even begun. Don’t wait, get in the game!

To keep updated on our happenings, we have a substantial number of “Friends” already on our Facebook Profile (also serving as our blog), so we’d be delighted to have you come join us there.

Our Twitter page is growing every day, and is also the place every single one of our posts is fed. Huh? Fed? Yep, you can follow us on Twitter, you can follow our hashtags for #plcity, and you’ll see every single post in real time. No need to search, no need to sort. Just browsing for all of you real estate porn addicts. Follow us @PocketListings.

If you liked watching theFrontSteps grow to over 500,000 readers*, you’re going to be more impressed with what we do with PocketListings.net, so we hope you find a way to be a part.

Getting Close To One Place For Pocket Listings (“Off Market” Real Estate)

Thursday, February 4th, 2010

It’s no secret we’ve been incredibly quiet here on theFrontSteps, but we’ve been incredibly busy building a site we think will be a tremendous boost to real estate agents and their clients, not just here in San Francisco, but across the nation.

The launch of our site is getting nearer and you can either follow us on Twitter, or better yet, go to our site enter your email (Agents, Brokers, Buyers, Sellers all welcome!), and you’ll be notified as soon as we launch.

Please help us by forwarding this post. If you’re a Real Estate professional, please tell every Real Estate Agent/Broker you know and put yourself on a path to “do more deals”.

PocketListings.net was conceived by professionals in the real estate industry. We know what it takes to be successful in real estate, and we see a need for this site. We want real estate agents to sell more real estate, and buyers and sellers to have purchasing and selling opportunities beyond your local MLS. We hope you will join us.

Pocket Listings And “Off Market” Real Estate

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

If you follow us on Twitter, you’ve already heard. There will soon be a network to post, search, and sell pocket listings (PocketListings.NET). Off-market, pocket listings, whatever…they’re out there, they’re bought and sold, and real estate agents will soon be able to share information amongst themselves on a much larger scale, which we hope will increase an agent’s opportunity to sell their pocket listings, and ultimately open up some doors for buyers and sellers beyond what is listed on the MLS.

The market has changed, the internet is here and not going anywhere, agents have valuable information about off-market properties that until now (when we launch) has been difficult to communicate to a large audience, and it’s time for something new. We can’t tell you everything, but we can tell you it will be cool. So get yourself a Twitter account and follow @pocketlistings for updates.

Up For Auction Or On MLS: 1351 41st Ave Coming Soon

Tuesday, January 6th, 2009

We’ve been told that this four bedroom, two and one half bath, one car parking remodeled center patio home at 1351 41st Ave @ Judah in the Outer Sunset will be either coming on the market in the next day or two, or going to auction. List price: ~$699,000.

We’ve been told it might be listed with a agent out of the East Bay, should the judge decide today that is the correct course of action. Apparently it’s been remodeled with the finest high-end granite (we’ll believe it when we see it), has a large back yard (we’re guessing standard Sunset size), a deck, and is being “listed low so the family can buy it out from under the current owner”. Word on the street is anything over $700,000 will be accepted, so either contact your agent, or us (thefrontsteps@gmail.com), if you’re interested in a home like this. Otherwise, keep your eyes on MLS or the auction block and see what happens.
