It’s no secret we’ve been incredibly quiet here on theFrontSteps, but we’ve been incredibly busy building a site we think will be a tremendous boost to real estate agents and their clients, not just here in San Francisco, but across the nation.
The launch of our site is getting nearer and you can either follow us on Twitter, or better yet, go to our site enter your email (Agents, Brokers, Buyers, Sellers all welcome!), and you’ll be notified as soon as we launch.
Please help us by forwarding this post. If you’re a Real Estate professional, please tell every Real Estate Agent/Broker you know and put yourself on a path to “do more deals”.
PocketListings.net was conceived by professionals in the real estate industry. We know what it takes to be successful in real estate, and we see a need for this site. We want real estate agents to sell more real estate, and buyers and sellers to have purchasing and selling opportunities beyond your local MLS. We hope you will join us.
–PocketListings.net [Off Market Real Estate Network Coming Soon]
Looking forward to this great site! Let’s do business together in 2010 via PocketListings!!
I’ve got a very straight up question here… isn’t the whole point of pocket listings so that the seller can keep their sale somewhat private and offline while feeling out the market?
If you list on pocketlistings… doesn’t it make your listing public, depending on how popular the site is?
What am i missing here? thnx
Sam
Sam,
Good questions, and you will see. The site is built by Realtors so we know the game. We’ll play it, and it will be awesome…
Can’t help but asking – is this not ostensibly competing directly with the MLS and therefore the SF Association of Realtors?
I’ve essentially quit the game as I couldn’t stand the players or the rules (actually the lack of any formal rules / ethics), so I don’t have a side or vested interest either way – am just wondering, out loud of course, as to how this type of site will work, if at all, in conjunction with the existing MLS system.
Greg,
Another good question, and the answer, we think, is no. We do not want, nor will we attempt to compete with MLS. We only want pocket listings.
hurry up with this thing already.
Trust me….we’re hurrying.
