There are many reasons WE live here in San Francisco, and certainly many reasons YOU live here, so feel free to share with us. We captured this photo just yesterday evening on walkabout in North Beach, and thought, “damn that’s cool!”
Just another reason we live here…great (iconic) architecture old and new all around us.
That’s really cool. We don’t see much architecture like that up here in Minnesota.
New York may have the Guggenheim… but *WE* have the spirally Westfield Mall. Much more practical.
Who needs Frank Lloyd Wright when you can have Nordstrom.

Funny how Pereira’s pyramid is now perceived as iconic, when in the 70’s, it was considered to have ruined SF’s skyline. Can you imagine what the hell else there WAS forming SF’s skyline in 1972? Besides Dirty Harry, I guess…
The Eiffel tower was considered to be ruining the skyline of Paris as well, when it was built in 1889.
